Hi Raymond, The Waite surname is classified as of occupational origin, taken from the trade or profession of the original bearer – a Wait / Waite was a guard, watchman or night – watchman. Dave

hi raymond, im wondering if you are in London at all .......wild goose chase probably but lost touch with a friend with the same surname as yours and he came from Canning Town London. Regards Debbi
