Talking of G......gs, I thought they were considered politically incorrect, but I noticed just before Christmas that our local candy and choccy store that also sells stuffed animals, has 3 or 4 of the little devils in the window. Hadn't seen one in years. I was thinking maybe they don't know the significance of them, or maybe the owners are English, being defiant in a country miles away from uk-they've just started advertising "English sweets" in the window. But actually I don't think they're considered appropriate here either, G......gs I mean, not sweets. Di. (Do you sometimes feel like Big Brother is watching you?)

Hi Di, Well, you asked how Noddy and Big Ears are and the answer is not very good I’m afraid. The Drugs Testers from the Children’s’ Story Association came into town the other day and said they wanted to give Noddy a random test but on hearing this Noddy disappeared. When he was eventually contacted he said he had forgotten about it and a subsequent test was negative. He really does seem to have gone off the rails but his manager Alice Fergilson says she will stand by him as does Big Ears. Mind you, that Big Ears is a bit strange, living in a magic mushroom house in the woods but he and Noddy have been ‘friends’ for years. Noddy has now been banned from appearing in new books for 8 months but says he is appealing. Personally I don’t find him appealing at all with that oversized head and those silly clothes he wears. I blame all his current behaviour on Enid Blyton – too much exposure too soon for Noddy. After all he’s only a boy. Well I’d better get off now. PC Plod

Hi Trish, If he lived in a small community and knew nobody in the area including the local policeman who had never heard of him how come he was charged with an offence? Surely the local police must have charged him anyway!! Come on!!!! Dave

He called the local policeman, who had never heard of him. He used this as proof of his good character.
