Luke 2:7-14 (IV) -- "And she brought forth her first-born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was none to give room for them in the inns. And there were in the same country, shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flocks by night. And lo, an angel of the Lord appeared unto them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them; and they were sore afraid. But the angel said unto them, Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this is the way you shall find the babe, he is wrapped in swaddling clothes, and is lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel, a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest; and on earth, peace; good will to men."

Hello She, I'd just like to thank you for taking the time to add these Bible readings throughout Advent. I have found them such a source of peace especially at the present time. Although I am a regular church member and even on the PCC I rarely find the time in my hectic and currently stressful life to sit down and read them for myself. Thank you again She. May God bless you and all your family this Christmas time and may I wish you all love and happiness in 2004. Love Eleanor xx

Yes, thank you She - I think we sometimes forget what are are supposed to be celebrating at this time of year. I visited one of those Garden Centres a couple of days ago - you know the ones, where you can buy anything BUT the plant that you went in for. Well, they had the most amazing selection of Christmas trees and decorations - but as my daughter pointed out -not a sign of baby Jesus, a crib or a shepherd, Oh! there were a couple of Donkeys - printed on a mug !! God Bless and a Peaceful New Year - Sue.
