You're an inspiration to us oldies Leonard, ( I'm almost 73), My Mum died at 95 in '98, and at 93 was still living in her own home and looking after herself, meeting my Aunt at the pub for lunch, walking everywhere, shopping etc, and gardening. My ambition is to follow in her footsteps and live a long life standing on my own two feet and caring for myself. At the minute I'm busier than when I was younger, with a huge garden to care for, and our home, many hobbies, and so many things I want to do and discover that I resent having to spend time at night sleeping. Good luck to you Leonard. May we oldies live life to the fullest till our very last day, and always stay young at heart. Di.

What is old? My I.Q is 156, I go to the gym every week, my reflexes are faster than my son's, I do all those things I didn't oughter, can programme my own video, operate a pc, do well in photographic competitions using 3 SLRs and a digital, dig the garden, go fishing yet have been around for some 80 years and have no intention of departing just yet. I admit to being middle-aged though - or nearly

Hi each. Best definition I have seen on this subject. "You don't stop doing things because you get old, you get old because you stop doing things" Keith (67 next friday)

Good for you audrey, i am 60 and i want be defeated by anything that i know i can cope with, its very sad how the young sometimes think we are old but they do not realise how quickly life creep's up on you and that is a good thing for them because that is what life is all about, (learning) and if they are very lucky they may reach our age one day.
