Good, glad you aren't offended because the saga goes on...... Today was Yorrick's funeral, a very sad affair. There weren't that many mourners (wish more of you'd been there) If we'd known a little sooner, there would probably been more, Me, a cat, a rabbit and a squirrel (that made four) (Although throughout the service we heard the budgie from next door!) "You've trod you last" the budgie said "You should not have landed on your head" The rabbit said "he's gone - for good" The squirrel said "whose had his food?" The cat just sat, with a big smile "I've waited for the longest while. But now you've gone my dear old chum - you should have landed on your bum! You silly rodent (stupid too) That treadmill was the death of you!" R.I.P. Yorrick

Hi Suzi - apologies from me. Losing weight (or trying to) is not funny - I should know I'm well overdue for both weight loss and more exercise. It was just the "treadmill" bit that struck me as funny - didnt mean to upset you girl - just my sense of humour. Apology accepted? Jacqui

i didn't relise that trying to loose weight and doing a bit of exercise was so funny. lol :)

Once I stopped laughing it occured to me that if Suzie's treadmill was wired up backwards she could sell the generated electricity to the national grid, get slim and make a profit too. Then, of course, there's all those hamsters..... Just a thought Bob

Jacqui Many thanks for the poems about poor Yorick, my sides are still aching!! my husband has decided (as if there was any doubt?) that all genealogists are completely mad after coming to see what i was laughing at, lol! I also have a little hamster pal, and feel that i need to learn from Yoricks fate, i will be installing safety bars for him tonight and lining his wheel with carpet so that he can have his evening workout in safety! Hi Suzi - too tall I fear for Yorrick's treadmill - but never mind, no doubt if your look in the Misc.Sales column of the local rag you might just find what you are looking for. However, I am now deeply, deeply depressed about Yorrick - didnt realise what the little chap meant to me actually, until you mentioned.............TREADMILL................ This sorry "tail" of Yorrick, it goes on and on and on - I've only just remembered how he used to sing this song "Working on the treadmill, working down down down, down! Often we would hear him, through the long and lonely nights sing his little heart out (never knowing of his plight) When I now think of Yorrick I will readily recall, of all the blessed rodents, he was the daftest one of all! i have a bike already, and brisk walking just doesn't seem to be the same. thanx anyway. oh and i'm 5ft tall.

Thinking about poor old Yorrick, I have been moved (nay deeply moved) about his plight and have written the following little ditty in his memory. Please excuse the poety but this is deep from the heart:- Ode to Yorrick: Yorrick was the sweetest creature - small and cute (his nose his best feature) He lived a life so free of care - No time for him to stand and stare. On the treadmill he did go - 30 minutes, what a show! Alas, alack, he caught his toes (how he did it no one knows) He came a cropper on his back - Alas poor Yorrick ain't coming back. Be warned Suzi of the dangers of a treadmill - just cut out the sweets, pop and crisps and things - that should do the trick. Jacqui

Colin - grieve for poor Yorrick (I knew him well!. On that treadmill - must be hell. Methinks poor Suzi must be warned, although keeping fit should not be scorned! But if its fit she wants to be, a motor treadmill's not the key. Get a bike, or take a walk; or else like Yorrick she will fail, and soon become somebody's tale! Jacqui

Suzi - how tall are you? only......a friend's hampster has just died, is deceased, is no more, is dead, has breathed it's last etc like Monty's Parrot! There is therefore a small treadmill going begging - any good?

im trying to lose weight, and would like to buy a cheap, motorized treadmill, does anyone know of such a thing? (i don't mind it being second hand)
