I watched midsommer murders, now I know its only a program and not real but do you think you could live in a place where there are so many murders,surely every house would have a for sale sign up.The villagers are dwindleing soon there will be nobody left

I forced myself to watch Midsomer Murders last night as I felt that I ought to spend SOME time with Noreen!!! lol. Why did I pick THAT one. I am used to exploring barrows and the "Midsomer Barrow" was rubbish. They are burial chambers and not hastily put up things. We went to West Kennet Longbarrow in Wiltshire two years ago and it is massive. They also got mixed up with the dates for Summer Solstice and Mid-Summer Eve which, in Cawston, appears to be the same day. I know it's only a program but **^8"$ heck, do us a favour! And as for the bloke with the bow and arrow...well... So it's not the programs that are rubbish...it's the content. Phew...That feels better lol

Oh Dear I know they can't all cater for everyone...but I like things like Time Team, and History progs and good quizzes! Adverts which are too deep are not worth screening and as for the amount of time BBC spend on advertising future programmes when you're trying to desperately see who played such and such in a play, but you can't cos they're trying squeeze the picture small in order to get another "advert" in...well You've started something here!!

Stars in their Eyes - aaaaargh!! Closely followed by crap like Stars and their Doubles (who don't even look like them), Pop Idol and Most Haunted. I know these are popular with lots of folk on here, but I better be honest!! Of course, I LOVE Eastenders - its abaht me innit?! Maz. XX

im with maz on this one i can't stand pop idol, i watched the first one and lets face it once you've seen one, you've seen them all, mind you i do think its funny when they show the worst singers. lol :)

I live in Canada and we have to put up with our own rubbish programming, plus all the rubbish US programs I do like the Knowledge Network, Discovery Channel and History TV. Can't stand the half hour sit-coms. Must admit I watch Coronation Street, some of it is total drivel, really like BBC Canada.

I'm with you there, Evelyn (I live in Calgary). But you know, even BBC Canada gets a mite irritating when they show something for the nth time! I enjoy Ground Force and Changing Rooms, but do we really still need to see the episodes that were made in 1997! Patsy

We mostly watch Discovery, History, PBS Seattle & Detroit, & Knowledge Network. Can't stand mindless half hour sit-coms complete with canned laughter, but love some of the British comedy shows. All time favorite was "As Time Goes By". Also like some of the British detective series, which don't rely on car chases and blood & gore to draw an audience. I also admit to watching Coronation Street, a little reminder of life in England. Pet peeves, ads, ads, and more ads!!! Di.

I could get tv down to one channel. Never seen breakfast television, how do people find the time, that can go. Soaps never watch them, they've gone. Reality TV, scrap it. Amatuer singing contest, never watch them, close 'em down. Animal programs, the wife likes them, but they can go. Makeover programs, give me a break. They say the average person watches four hours of tv a day, mines about seven a week and I have Sky! More choice but little on. Gary

It is a good job we are all different. Why are people reluctant to admit they watch soaps? I know a lot of people don't enjoy them, like people don't read romantic novels. I watch some of the soaps and I actually think the acting in most of them is excellent. there have been some great cameo scenes in both East Enders and Emmerdale lately. OK I know they are a bit OTT and sometimes maudlin but they do represent life, even if it is all crammed into a short time. I do object to the way that at Christmas they all have to have a 'happening' of one sort or another but we all know that is to capture audiences. I find that I can relax while watching them and I enjoy them. (Incidentally I watched the first episode of Coronation street and have to say I feel that the episodes from about 20 years ago were better, more fun to watch. My bugbear is the number of repeats we get on all channels. How many times can you watch the Christmas episode of Vicar of Dibley, no matter how funny it is? Brian - used to be a bit of a Kat, but more of a Laura now!! (Not in the bust department though!!) Forgot to mention I love Antiques Roadshow, Blackadder and Porridge - Fools and Horses goes without saying - don't watch any other soaps tho or GMTV/Richard and Judy etc. Weepy films/dramas are a big turn off - we like comedy or action or thrillers - but we are big on sport here. Gonna tune in to Celeb Fat Club tonight - just to be nosey really! Maz. XX

Love Eastenders, Cori, Time Team, Antiques Roadshow, Have I got news for you, and good period dramas. Best ever programme is 24. Hate so called American comedies and programmes like Trisha and Kilroy (I for one am pleased he's been taken off the air). But what I hate most of all is the loudness of adverts these days (or am I getting old?!) There always 10 times louder than the programme you've been watching. Jeanette

I though Celebrity Fat club was tomorrow, Maz. And i thought it was only my husband that watched Time Team! I like digging for people and he likes their things!! Dont watch ITV cause of all the adverts.

Clare - tonight at 8pm!!! and the ads ARE louder than the programmes - you can tell from when you are not in the room, the only thing you can hear is the blimmin adverts!

Oh good, its going to clash with Holby city! Now what am i going to do?

I really can't stand any reality tv shows like Pop Idol or Big Brother. I really hate the programmes they keep showing on channel 4 with 100 greatest in the title. Lucia

i can not stand anymore sons and daughters, when i work nights and having a break talk about wax work dummies and is this a repeat or new programme in any case burn the tapes. please.

I love Eastenders, Casualty, London's Burning (when is it coming back?), Down to Earth. My favourite comedy series of all time is Fawlty Towers. My husband hates all the programmes I like. He spends what seems like hours watching Star Trek (all series), Stargate SG1 and others like that which I loathe. He also is an avid Time Team watcher and most things on the History Channel. He moans that when he's in the lounge watching TV, I'm always in here on the PC. He can have his entertainment watching TV and I'll have mine on GC! How we have been married for 36 years next month I don't know! Maybe the answer to a long and happy marriage is to have nothing in common! LOL Sue
