My Fathers family were from Norwich area but then moved to London. My father decided to move the family back to Norfolk and have been here for the last 25 years. I now live in Fakenham (once voted the most boring town in the country!!!) and family are gradually populating the surrounding villages.

My grandfather's side of the family have been from Norfolk for as far back as I've gone. I was born in N Creake - then moved to Hempton, Fakenham, and to Little Walsingham where I lived until I was 25 (went to secondary school in Wells-next-the-Sea). Now live in Sheffield.

My husband John was born, in 1931, and brought up in Burnham Market with his 2 older sisters Jean and Mary (aka Pat), and Jean still lives there. Hid dad was the Osborne in Hill & Osborne Garage in Burnham Market. John went to Fakenham Grammar School. Our 2 good friends Janet & Terry Angles live in Wells Next the Sea, and Terry runs a B & B on Chancery Lane. Thought someone may know them. I love that area. The beach at Overy where J. used to sail as a kid, Fishes Restaurant in B M, and the pub in Brancaster. Norfolk may be last on this board, but it sure isn't least and anyone would be proud to say "I come from the same area as Lord Nelson"!!! (And John Osborne!!!) Di, an honorary Norfolkian.

i love bacton and around there, many years ago my great aunt had a holiday chalet there and as a child i went and then about 6 years ago we took our children to a brilliant chalet site called rainbows end, it was lovely, no pubs or clubs, no swimming pool, just a shop open limited hours and loads of space for simple pleasures like kite flying and bike riding or walking along the beach, bliss lou
