I just got there at last - when people said 'click on the name' to find out when membership started, they meant on the name actually on the message board; the author of a message (I'm a bit slow). Will it work with one's own name? About to try.

Julie,

Julie, Report 17 Feb 2004 17:00

No, it doesn't. Why not? Will someone click on my name please and tell me when my renewal date is!

She - what do you mean that it also shows if you have contacted the person before? Couldnt quite get that, but then I'm a thicko. On yours it says you have 1 person in your tree - is that right? Jacqui

Julie,

Many thanks all. Is there really that many people on my tree? Heck, I have just got Family Historian - working through the first three chapters as recommended and I think I have to put all those 99 souls on my new tree manually!

BrianW

BrianW Report 17 Feb 2004 17:27

All mine are on manually, don't know the exact number, but it's around 400 I think.

Hi Brian, It says 432 in your family tree trish

Julie,

Julie, Report 17 Feb 2004 17:37

Was hoping Brian, you would have a finger clicking way of transferring them. Anyway, re. renewal date - there is nowhere to store it here so I have gone to my tree and selected me, then put it in the notes section. At least I will know where to go now to check if it's due, or I presume, my 99 names could suddenly disappear.

Julie,

Julie, Report 17 Feb 2004 17:41

Jenny, 18/08/2003 , my daughter's birthday, actually, the Leo/pig (which will mean nothing to you if you havn't been following another thread here).

Jacqui

Jacqui Report 17 Feb 2004 17:42

Jenny its 18/8/04 for renewal and 347 in your tree. Jacqui

Thanks Trish Sorry Julie, no shortcut tips. I refuse to upload gedcom from my PAF file as not all the information will come across and I would lose the extra info that's on here. Once you get a tree established you are only adding a handful of names at any one time so it's not much of a chore.
