Rebecca Fantastic isn't it?! I made my 1st connection on 4th January this year with a relative in Wisconsin, USA. We share the same 4x great grandfather making us 5th cousins. He has supplied me with an enormous amount of information that it would have taken me years to discover. And it didn't stop there. About six weeks later my maternal Grandads long lost sister got in touch. This intoduced me to other members of the family on that side that are researching that branch of my tree. Let's hope this is the start of lots more connections for you. Jeanette

Hi Rebecca, The first day I signed up for GC (and started my tree) I contacted a lady in Oregan to see if her rellie was anything to do with me. It so happens that her father and my grandmother were cousins! I was so amazed and excited. (husband still can't see what the fuss is all about!) We now e-mail regularly and she really feels like family. I haven't connected with anyone else but as I have only been doing research for 5 months I don't think that's bad going. All the best and may you make many nore connections in the future! Love Aileenx

Thanks Keith and Deb, I know I`m hooked good and proper! My husband has started telling anyone who`ll listen that he was actually born in 1865, just to try and get my attention! I do have back up though- my 9 year old daughter has become fascinated, I have to explain each ancestors relationship to her. Trouble is she`s studying the tudors at school, and she keeps asking if I`ve found any tudors yet!! Rebecca

Hi all, I`m so excited, I just have to tell someone! I extracted a document at kindredkonnections, so I had a free hour. While searching their database I found I connected with one of their members. As a relative newbie researching a fairly unusual name this has really got me in a dither of excitment! I was just wondering how everyone else felt the first time they connected?
