Received a marriage certificate from the GRO yesterday for my Gt Gt Gt Grandmothers marriage, and for both her and her groom the age is given as "of full age" and I don't know when she was born, was hoping this would tell me. At least it has her Fathers name, should be able to find her in the parish records hopefully... |

I think that he means that, having got a marriage certificate, the age is given as "Of full age" so it does not help to find a year of birth. |

I've had some of those and I land up kicking something (good job Iv'e not got a dog)!!! I think that they knew I would be looking for them and thought they would make it harder for me. Another 'red herring' is Father deceased when he wasn't. Anyone come across this one? Nes |

Nes Not had 'father deceased' when still alive, but have had just the opposite. Wondered why I couldn't find him in 1881 census! Sue |
