Hello again Lynda, What a joy a new grandchild soon. I have 3 grandsons, James 17, a "Gooner". I was so enamoured of him that I forgot to teach him to say 'come on you Spurs' , Conor 12 on Wednesday who thankfully is a Spurs supporter and Harry 4 who jumps up and shouts "tricky trees" (as you do) when Nottingham Forest score, so I think he is a lost cause. I have really failed in the grandmother department when it comes to football education. Still it does lead to some lively debates. How proud you must be to have such a talented cousin. Isn't it great that girls play football today. Unfortunately in my day it was unheard of. Maz : Don't know about 4 new defenders, a new manager would go down well. Martin O'Neill will do for me. Jean.

Lynda - hope your grandson's barnet is a bit better than Freddie's!! Jean - perhaps you and I can go to therapy together! We need to try to learn to smile through the pain and remove our hands from over our eyes !! Maz. XX That Defoe's a good player though - now we just need 4 decent defenders!

Refuse to be called mad - totally insane I will accept. As I used to be a Essex lady (!) - the nearest decent team was Ipswich. (Thats my excuse) :-) Liz

Hi Lynda, This is very hard for me... but... congratulations to your team. They were quite awesome yesterday. At the moment they look unstoppable. Reminds me of Spurs in the early 60's. Yes I can go back that far and yes I know it was a long time ago and yes I am a sad person but at the moment us Tottenham supporters haven't got much to shout about so we dwell our our long past glories. Well done (through gritted teeth). Let's hope it is an Arsenal v Man. U final. Best wishes, Jean.
