Hello Jackie Spoke to friend in Sussex this evening -he says the only Day's Garage he can find is a volkswagon repair centre in St Johns Road, Hove. East Sussex. He found this in the yellow pages. and is pretty sure the Days Garage in Worthing is now a Daewoo place. He worked for Days for 2 weeks in 1982/3 approx and can't remember any christian names or anything. He's very sorry he was'nt helpful - if there is anything you think he might be able to look up please ask again. Do you think there could be some kind of registry for garages???? Jude |

Jude, you are a star, I would love to find out if anyone knows the family, hope there are not too many skeletons lol, I have enough on all the other parts of my family tree which is getting so big now and that is only on my father's side lol!!!!, thanks anyway look forward to hearing from you to see if anyone has a lead. Jackie Just been talking to a friend who actually worked for Days Garage some yrs ago, he says its off Rowlands Road and is going to find out who runs it now etc - could be a few days,but l will let you know asap. Jude |

Jackie - l asked hubby and he could'nt remeber where the garage is either,he thought he recognised the name of it, will look it up - he's 63 this yr so has the same problems!!! lol will get back to you Jude |

Hi Jude, Thankyou for your interest in finding Day relatives, quite honestly, I was a young girl when we used to come and stay with my uncle and his family for summer holidays with my gran (his sister), I was probably about 13 when I last visited Worthing and so at the grand age of 63 i am afraid the brain won't take me back to there!!!! However I would appreciate any help if your husband has any ideas. Thankyou again Jackie |

Hi Jackie We lived in Worthing most of our lives,infact hubby born there.He's out right now,but will ask him if he remembers anything about the garage and the Days.Where abouts in Worthing was/is the garage? We had some Days living in our road in Sompting,but then its quite a popular surname!! Will get back to you Jude |

I am looking for any of the Day family related to Harold Day born around 1890 give or take a couple of years, son Derek born around 1920 ish. Owned Days Garage in 1950's in Worthing. Harold had a sister Annie Winnifrith Day, originally from the New Forest/Bournemouth areas. Please contact if you have any information or are related to them Thankyou Jackie |
