Janice My Mum used to have Upwords at her house and my kids loved playing it with her. Elder son now has it and plays it with his kids (and me!) I have a game called Ups & Downs which is very similar to Othello. Had it for years, I probably bought it because it was a cheaper version of Othello! Has anyone played Triominoes? Like Dominoes but triangular shaped pieces instead of rectancular. Need quite a large table to play it on though! Sue

I used to play scrabble online if I went into Yahoo, but with doing my family tree I have not been there for a long while I went to see if it was still there the other day and it does not seem to be. Sue...........

Love Rummikub, but the number version is better than the word one. Good Ludo-type game is Sorry. Does anyone play Upwords which is like Scrabble but you can stack the tiles too? Also enjoy Othello. Janice

I have Rummikub and the Word one aswell I had to band my youngest sister from playing because she kept on beating me and she wasn't in the age group at the time to play the game. She is very smart or either that I am just plain thick lol

We love Scrabble and as teenagers used to play a version of it with our friends where we could only use dirty words. Oh what a misspent youth! My daughter is a mental health nurse and she plays Rummikub with the patients. I bought her her own game this Christmas, just so I could play it. I love the game am now hooked. When my children were young we used to play Yahtzee (I think the spelling is correct) - another good game. Julie

Denis Rummikub is a variant of Rummy played with tiles. You lay them on the table to make runs and suits. Great fun for 2/4 players. We played in France last year. Bob

If anyone likes scrabble, but like me, is surrounded by Philistines who don't play, here is a great website: www (.) thepixiepit (.) co (.) uk / scrabble It is really excellent and mails the game to you everytime it's your go. Just remove the gaps and brackets.
