HiHi Treating this like Desert Island disk 8, and I want to be Cheerful Think I'd go for:- What's New Pussycat, ... that Go-cart sequence, Classic! Young Frankenstien, ... "There's only one Marty Feldman!" Blazing Saddles, ... Madelin Kahn in Stockings! yes please! :-) Woodstock, ... But Not the Digital version, the Soundtrack is so, so BAD Kelly's Hero's, ... Donald Sutherland as a WWII Hippy, Magic! Cat Ballou, ... Lee Marvin's drunken gunslinger & Jane Fonda! The Wrong Box, ... Peter Cook & Dudley Moor + Spike Milligan!!! (Why isn't this out on DVD!!!??????) Moulin Rouge (2001), ... Coz I was so,so impressed with such a genuinly creative interpretation of a classic theme. Peter Jackson (Spit, stamp etc) eat your heart out, yes folks I know that's not how you spell the bit between Buttocks but this is a family show and Jackson is only passing through! :-) All the Best Peter

Tricia/Suzanne I do like the original Star Wars trilogy but it wouldn't make a top 8 for me. Have seen the prequels but thought they were a load of rubbish.

Andy Oop North, I didn't see the 100 greatest movies last night but did catch it first time round and the No.1 was Star Wars!!?? What rubbish! Nobody seems to have included Dead Poets' Society a fantastic film and in my top 8, still deciding on the others' Tricia

Suzanne, Unfortunately, I didn't see it but I'm usually in disagreement with their choice of Top 10 whenever they do these polls. What was number 1? Andy.

Suzy

Suzy Report 21 Mar 2004 13:43

ANDY How true. I think I could have had 20 in my list. Did you get the idea from last night's "100 Best Movies" programme? Were you as disappointed as I was with the number 1...! What an anti-climax. I notice nobody has got it in their top 8. Suzanne

Andy

Andy Report 21 Mar 2004 11:00

Suzanne, I very nearly had The Shawshank Redemption in my Top 8 as it is an excellent film and one I've enjoyed time and again, but I also feel guilty about having left Ferris Bueller's Day Off from my list also (!), however it makes a little more interesting if you put a limit on the number of choices. :-)
