I have noticed a message on my home page that "they" will soon be introducing a new format in the same lines of Friends Reunited. What do you all think of this? |

Glad I am not alone in my thoughts. My membership is up for renewing and I am having second thoughts. Why fix something if it isn't broken? Why do I have to change my test size on Friends (the only site I have to do this)? Stuff disappears down to the bottom of the screen. Friendsreunited was better before the change!!! Nesta |

Hi Just to add my penny worth...If it ain' broke then why try to mend it..Keep it as it is.Genes connected isn't friends reunited so why be the same.I also haven't been on friends reunited for ages because of the layout Lynn |

I can't make head nor tail of the FR site since it changed, and last night i was looking through the my names summary on GC and the total layout changed, and looked very much like they were trying out the new site format, there was no friendly green surrounds, just a plain white page with the 6 coloured boxes above it, and very large writing listing all the names down the side. Frightening, why do they need to change it again, they only changed it a little while ago. Let's start a petition. April. |

I hadn't been on FR for ages until yesterday. Didn't like the new layout at all. I got 'lost' and gave up! Please GC leave this site alone. It is easy to navigate (as was FR before the changes) and a very user-friendly site. If it ain't broke - don't fix it. Sue |

I too would rather they spent the time on fixing the problems ( like emails not getting through), and adding some more of the features we have asked for , rather than re-vamping the whole site. |

I would like to try something but not sure how to go about it. Have you noticed the email thingy on Friendsreunited? Does this mean that all contact has to be on the board - not via your own email? The reason I ask this is today I logged on and was told there was 1 email in my Inbox (it wasn't there the other day) and it was dated August 2003!!! (Mind you, I have only just renewed my membership.) Now, I am not sure if I received this via my 'normal' email or not. Also, if all correspondence is going to be web based, surely this means that non-paying members loose out again. It will also mean that those who use dial-up connections would have to be online longer to answer anything. Would someone who knows what is going on help this poor old sole. Nes |
