I saw a message on the board by chance about the Appleyard family from Grimsby. I knew I had lots of those names. I can go back to 1750,my ggggg grandfather Amos. What I didn't know was anything about the more recent family Appleyard members and now it seems that I'm going to find out at long last thanks to Claire Fisher who is a third generation Appleyard. Just goes to prove that these boards do help us all,in time. So don't give up. Sue

Update on the Appleyard family from Grimsby. Been in touch with Claire and found out more info, and yes we are related. I also found out the stories I was told as a child about smugglers in the family were true! So for anyone who's still looking and getting fed up. Please do not give up. It will happen for you. Sue
