I thought OFAH would win but I expected One Foot in the Grave to have got higher than number ten. It's better than the Vicar of Dibley. Mel

I hated Dad's Army when I was young but I appreciate itmore now. I also hated Hi-de-hi, Allo Allo and Last of the Summer Wine - and still do lol

Only Fools and Horses won because mst people like it, it's quite hard to dislike and consistently funny - whereas things like Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, Ab Fab, The Young Ones etc, whilst brilliant in their own way will have lots of people that DON'T like them for one reason or another (my parents HATED Blackadder, think it was too clever for them lol).

Debra, M.A.S.H. is my all time favourite American comedy! I always thought Alan Alda looked a bit like my dad.

I'm sorry about the Rubbish Dads Army. It's just I had a pet hate of that programme when I was growing up it was all that my Dad watched. So I know it is a popular programme with a lot of people. But not me now and again I catch my boyfriend watching it on sky and i'm straight out of the room It's the same as Mash I dont like that either. So honestly no offence to anyone. Debbie

I was torn between OFAH, Blackadder and "That rubbish Dads Army" (which incidentally, makes me, hubby and the two kids howl with laughter and my 4 year old calls it gradads army). Funny all the ones you forgot about like Terry and June, Rising Damp etc. Nobody makes em like us eh? Pam

It was a sure thing that Only Fools and Horses would win but like some of you I would have prefered Blackadder to win, My son would have prefereed either Steptoe and son or The young ones to win. Sue

OFAH does make lots of people laugh. "That rubbish Dad's Army" got my vote and came a credible fourth!

I felt that Only Fools.. would grab it, pretty much from the word go. It is damn near ubiquitous on our TV screens these days, which for me personally, weakens its appeal but I felt that it would win as it reaches out to so many different cross-sections of people and it has sort of become a national institution. My nomination was Blackadder, and felt it excelled itself in coming second.

Only fools and horses deserved it. I think there are certain comedys that are in different classes. o.f.a.h , One foot in the Grave Vicar of Dibley they are all about the same sort of comedy. But Absolutely Fabulous Blackadder and that rubbish Dads Army should be in another. I think One foot in the Grave should have won. followed by Only fools and Horses then The Good Life Vicar of Dibley

I said it would win didn't I. At least my favourite two were at No. 2 & No. 3 I'm not saying that O.F.A.H. isn't excellent, it is. I would just have preferred Blackadder to take top spot! Tricia
