It is a ridiculous Sue anyone culture isn't it? Maybe in retaliation, any slightly pale-skinned native of North Africa should sue the North African Government in case they were victims of the Barbary Coast Slavery of the 17th Century, when Coastal dwellers in Britain lived in fear of North Africans taking them away. Why don't we hear much about white slavery?

Whilst having every sympathy with those sold into slavery, lets be honest this course of action is pathetic. What good can possibly come from it ?

I think all nationalities would have a field day suing goodness knows who on the wrongs that were inflicted on their ancestors that it is best laid to rest. Where should I start, my Scottish or Irish ancestors or shall I begin with my closest ancestors that have been severally wronged who are of Jewish decent, I don't think so, they would not thank me for digging up the past something they can't but try to forget. These people should look to the future and not feel that Society owes them a dollar - life goes on. Linda

Whilst I accept that there is perhaps a "sue first askquestions later" mentality today,in this instance my sympathies lie with those who have been wronged.The fact that it happened many years ago does not lessen the evil things that went on in those days. I agree with you Pam. Our sue anyone who looks at us the wrong way culture is getting out of hand and totally ridiculous. Are we going to sue the weather man next for getting it wrong and ruining our barbecue??
