How might I do this?

Hi All, my friend who has relocated to California has asked whether I might be able to find a couple of her cousins. They lived in Dartmouth but the parents split and the two boys went into care. This will be at least 15-20 years ago. Her Aunt disappeared and her Uncle emigrated to Canada. She thinks they have both changed their names and I don't really know where to start looking. I have added one to my tree so I could post a message on the Trying To Find board. Naomi

Hi, Just a thought but what about contacting Dartmouth social services to see if they have any records of the boys being placed in care, or maybe they can advise you of the relavant body who handled their foster care or adoption. Good luck Sheila

Hi Sheila, I don't think they'll tell me as I'm not a relative. She doesn't even know their d.o.b's just approximate ages. Naomi
