I would like to ask my great grandmother who was her son's father (my grandad)! Can't find out who his father was so it looks like being the end of that line Maggy |

I think this is a lovely thread and seeing as how we are so close to Christmas I think we should all give a thought to those who are no longer with us...mind you I seem to do that every day |

I'd bring back my 4xgreat grandfather George Coombs, so I could find out all his personal details, as yet I only have his occupation from his children's baptism records which was a coachman, and he could give me a ride on his carriage. |

I would have to bring back my step dad if only to see my mum smile properly again. He only died last year and my mum waited a lifetime to meet him... |

I'd bring my Dad back so that my Mum my sister and myself could give him the biggest cuddle ever and tell him how much we miss him. He died 20 months ago and left such a big hole in all our lives. Maggie |

I would bring my dad back it's his birthday today, so that he could see his grandchildren now that they are grown up, and also his great grandchildren He would be so pleased that his GT grandsons all have season tickets for his favourite football team Although he wouldn't be very pleased with me because whenever I asked him where do I come from and where to I really belong,? because I never really felt I belonged in the town where we lived. His reply would be you must never try to find out because it would upset you if you did . As yet I haven't found anything to upset me Bren |

Give me back my Aunty Jean and Uncle Harry. What a pair they were. They were such opposites but made a great team. Parties, whatever they were marvellous people. He looked like Spencer Tracy, wonderful singing voice. She very good looking but the jokes she made up about their lives together were hysterical.. Wish I had written them down. Could have published a book. Both were very kind hearted, never had children but really we had two sets of parents. Always in my thoughts My childrren remember them with affection. Wish I had them here just for today. Would like to introduce them to my grandchildren. |

I would bring back my brother, Ian, who committed suicide in 1982, when he was 24 and I was just 18. I would love to ask him what made him do it and how could we have prevented it. I never stop thinking of him after 22 years and I would like to know if he knows I named my first son after him. Before his death, he often spoke about starting our family tree, and in some small way, I like to think his memory stays a little stronger because I am trying to do this. He was very much loved, and it would ease my mind to know for sure that he knew this. Carol. x |
