Rick - gotta hand it to you, we were cheering you on here! Even my mate who, and I quote "I hate Chelsea even more than I hate Arsenal"!!! rang me at full time and said by the end of the match he was rooting for Chelsea - don't think he could quite believe it himself!!! Kathleen, I've been exiled in Bristol for more than 20 years, but had cousins in Cedarne (formerly Cedar) Road just opposite Fulham Broadway station. Came across a ticket stub from Chelsea-ManU from about 1970-ish the other day. Straight out of the Bridge and back to the cousins for tea - can't be bad !! Rick. |

Wasn't it great!! A brilliant game - not been so excited since the day we moved into the flat overlooking Stamford Bridge. My bedroom was the one with the view of the pitch where I watched them play most Saturday's - and all for free!! That was over 60 years ago and football has changed a bit over the years. This time I watched from the comfort of my armchair but one of my sons was at Highbury to see our team win. To the Arsenal supporters (my cousin is one) thanks, your side played a good game. The Blues just played a better one. Kathleen |

Thanks to all the Arsenal fans for being so gracious in defeat. I still can't stop smiling today and I'm delighted to be facing Monaco rather than Madrid. Surely they can't sack Ranieri now - did you see his reaction when the 2nd went in and him crying at then end ? Lovely bloke - shame if he goes. Rick :-) |
