It just seems most places are shutting and sending work over seas these days. Other half will have to start job hunting although he isn't directly employed by Kraft Seems sad that mum and gran worked there and it could now poss become some extension of the race course know the council would like to have it.A little bird mentioned that to us 2 yrs ago Just hope it aint more housing !! Had my moan now and feel better Thanks Jan

Do you think I should keep the choc orange I have got in the hope that it will become valuable one day? It's so sad when this happens. I wonder if there will be anything made in England at all soon?

It seems to be the same all over. My husband is to be made redundant this year from Melrose's tea, which has been in operation in Edinburgh for over 100 years. It's sad to see all these old companies go under.

Jan sorry to hear about the closure of Terry's of York. Hope Del is able to secure another job really quick. As you say the factory has played a very big part in your families history. no doubt many in the community are sad, not just for the loss of their jobs, but that yet another part of their heritage is to be phased out. Terri and ray xx reading your latest message, as to what Country is to produce what. It would seem its not just the choc oranges that will be in segments.
