Different religions living together

I was bought up as Church of England, and I married a Roman Catholic and my brother a Jewess. We all live amicably and no divorce in our family. Who says different religions cannot get along together. We're almost 50 years married!

Congrats Sylvia, that's quite an achievement these days. I'm seperated and almost divorced myself. I always swore I wouldn't do as my parents did and get divorced but there's no getting away from reality lol. My partner is now Roman Catholic and I'm Church of Scotland. The religion just isn't an issue though. My mum's originally Church of England and now Church of Scotland and my step Dad's an atheist, hasn't stopped them though as they're coming up to 30 years and its second time round for both of them. my parents were Catholic, but I attended C/England school. went to Sunday school at the Welsh Baptist Church, Band of hope at the Methodists. Youth club at the salvation army Citadel, went on the Whitsuntide march with whatever church was having the best Whitsun treat. Living near the docks I played with Arabs, Somalis, Greeks,Maltese, Jews, to name but a few. I learned that if any of us fell and cut ourselves, our blood was the same colour.

Yes, it's nice to hear you're still together. So many people break up over sometimes minor arguments. Marriage, as well as life on the whole, is not only taking, but giving. Am trying to teach my granddaughter a few elementary lessons, such as if you borrow something, however small, you must return it. Try and not have to borrow money.
