Joan, you are indeed fortunate, I always wanted a log Cabin in the wilderness, surrounded by Nature and Animals, well thats where I am now but not in a log cabin. well i can always move if I find a better place. I'm really ashamed of myself! I am SO lucky! We built our own log house, forestry all round us. Nearest neighbour four miles away. I have my own room next to the sitting room (planned many years ago). If the TV is on in the sitting room and I don't like the noise hubby wears his earphones and we both enjoy peace and quiet. All my hobbies are around me and no one bothers me. I look out the window and watch the deer, squirrel's, birds etc. and in a few weeks there will be Momma groundhog and her yearly litter of balls of fur out playing in the garden. It's so nice being old, retired and able to please one's self.

I have an Office/Computer set up in the rear my Caravan, I can look out at the mountains all around me as I sit here, I also have a heater on as its freezing just now. Bill in the mountains of Oz

We've got an open plan living room/dining room/kitchen at the back of the house and the desk is wedged in between the tv and the dining table. We were supposed to be converting the loft into an office but haven't got round to it. Everybody lives in the back part of the house so have to put up with kids screaming and telly constantly blaring in my left lughole. Can't wait for a bit of peace when the kids go back tomorrow. I would love to have a little room to call my own but my understairs cupboard is inly 4ft high so I would have to sit cross legged on the floor.I am now sitting in the dining end of the kitchen.No I will rephrase that computer/genealogy room as I cant remember when I last saw the table top Lynn

Hi I'm also in the small bedroom (box room) which I share with all the toys and junk Chris

My computer is wherever I happen to be.. since it's a laptop with a wireless LAN card :) I do have an office upstairs though, which is where my printer, scanner etc are when I need them...

I'm in the hall, opposite end of the bungalow to our bedroom so can sneek in here early in the morning, leave hubby snoring.........also en-suite loo, just in case !!!!!!! Anne

jo, it is an electric guitar!!! he has an amplifier in his bedroom,so if he wants to plug it in he has to go up there,i won't have it downstairs,don't mind hearing it if he's upstairs,i have to say tho,he can play and is good. just as well it's an end house,were his bedroom is there's no one next door. chris.

I am sitting with Laptop in front room. Surrounded with paperwork. Only me and little dog. Have to tidy away each night though. Have pc in bedroom hidden away but can only use late at night if I feel like it as takes too long to get downstairs to answer door. I wanted mine under stairs but next doors heating is always on Full blast (not good for computers) and heat is too much for me. Never mind one day will have a little office to myself, when I move. Have an Art studio at back but so full, no room for anything else. Sandra

Norah, I am feeling a bit left out here. I also want a cupboard under the stairs. I am upstairs in hubby's office and sitting at hubby's p.c. Sometimes he makes little animal noises in the background and I know that he wants his office back. Lindy:-)))))))))

mine is in the front room,we have the living room at the back,front room in the front(obviously!!) i'm in here most nights,after i have watched "corrie & eastenders",my son does'nt really bother with the pc that much,he's more for his guitar(arn't i lucky!) chris.

And child number 2 has just fallen spectacularly off the sofa and, you've guessed it is screaming the place down. Looks like this is the end of my evening's surf. Night all! Angela

Don't be jealous of me! The telly's about 6 feet away from me and I'm having to listen to a very boring film in the background. Child number 2 has flatly refused to go to bed and has just been persuaded to sleep on the sofa so all the lights are off to stop her waking up. In fact its been 3 years since I've been able to sit with the lights on in the evening because of one child or other!!!!! I know I should be firmer, but because they share a room when you insist on them going to bed when they don't want to they scream the place down and wake the other one up (not to mention the neighbours in the terrace either side of us). But if you really really want my understair cupboard, it'll be vacant like the rest of the house hopefully in a few weeks.......... Angela

I have a lap top so I am in which ever room I want to be in....which is always the opposite room to my son...bliss!
