I had a very successful day at the Scottish Records office last Friday but within five minutes, not only had I found my great grandmother's birth certificate, along with her twin's, I uncovered a previously unknown scandal. My great great grandmother had been married in 1876 at the age of 21 to a man but then proceeded to have a clutch of children with the man that we thought was her husband - our great great grandfather!!! Does anyone know of any sources that would help me to fill in the gaps between her marriage, the 1881 census and the birth of her first child with my great great grandfather? Regards Abigail
