Mandy, I found some living rellies by going to 'Google' and entering 'white pages johannesburg', enter the surname. I'll assume a telephone is the norm for most, Jo'burg is split up into regions(rands). If this does not work, try Lindy in the Algarve, good hunting, Derek in France

Do they have electoral rolls in South Africa like we do here? And if so, does anyone know somebody who would have a look for me please? My birth mother has fallen out with her son (my half-brother) and her brother (our uncle). We would love to be in touch with our uncle but have no way of getting his address. He always got on well with my half-brother when he was over here visiting. I have his name, as well as his wife and son's names, but haven't got as far as searching records for his date of birth yet. B/mother is 61 so he would be around that age. Very grateful to anyone who could point me in the right direction. Thanks a lot.
