Hi Lorr, Sorry that you are feeling so blue. My husband was the same, very negative and also very angry about everything. he went to several doctors for different problems including aches and pains. The last doctor, the one we have now, diagnosed depression, at which my husband laughed. He too had lost many friends and relatives in a very short time. He read all the literature and came to realise that was the problem. He refused to see a phyciatrist, but started taking Zoloft and he is now almost back to normal. Drepression is a chemical imbalance and you can't " Shake your feathers and get on with it" as many suggest. Please see your doctor as soon as possible. Contact me any time you want. Maureen Thank you for sharing your story as lots of others did on this thread. There were some very real stories like yours that came out. I understand what you're saying about getting on with life, I think, reading back, that some people find it really difficult to cope. Of course that's not all the time some times are better than others...... There are some very caring people here to chat to....Take care won't you? Luv Lorr x x x

LORRAINE, JUST TO LET YOU KNOW I'VE BEEN WHERE YOU ARE NOW. TEN YEARS AGO WE LOST FIVE FAMILY AND FRIENDS INCLUDING MY LOVELY SISTER WHO WAS MY BEST FRIEND (AFTER MY HUSBAND) MY NIECE AND HER HUSBAND WHO BOTH COMMITED SUICIDE, MY DAUGHTERS FRIEND WHO WAS STABBED BY HER BOYFRIEND, AND OUR FRIEND WHO WAS ONLY 33 AND DIED ACCIDENTALY IN FRONT OF US. ALL IN THE SPACE OF 3 MONTHS. ALL THE STRESS RESULTED IN MY HUSBAND HAVING A HEART ATTACK THEN HE LOST HIS JOB. BECAUSE OF HIM BEING OUT OF WORK WE GOT OUR HOME REPOSSESED, HAD TO GIVE OUR CAR BACK TO FINANCE COMPANY EVEN HAD THE PHONE CUT OFF, THE FINAL INSULT! WE'VE COME THROUGH ALL THIS AND ARE NOW MUCH MORE LAID BACK ABOUT ANYTHING LIFE THROWS AT US. I GET UP EARLY EVERY MORNING JUST BECAUSE I CAN! I THINK OF ALL THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS WE'VE LOST WHO MIGHT LIKE TO BE WHERE WE ARE NOW DESPITE ALL THE S--T LIFE THROWS AT US

Lisa You are halfway there if you know what is causing the problem. You say the relationship is suffering, do you talk to each other. I don't want to sound like an agony aunt (or in my case agony gran) but it really does help if you can talk and explain why you are jealous. there may even really be no justification for it. Maybe you need to do something to boost your confidence? Ann Glos

There was a programme on this subject last night funny enough. People trying to do something about the fears they have? I didn't watch it all but one person had good reason from her past to feel insecure......I think she talked to someone official (therapist) about it. x
