Is there a Computer Buff out there who can help me with this little challenge. My clock doesn't work. The little one in the bottom corner of my screen. Nor does the Date change. I have tried setting it with "Settings", Tried updating it on screen, but the clock works for a while and then seems to go in reverse for a while and already today it has lost an hour. Jim, Fighting a losing battle with Time :-)

Jim How old is your machine? The clock is worked by a cmos battery (that's how it can keep up when it is switched off). They last a long time but do eventually give up. Replacement meand opening the case up and not for the faint hearted. If you are on broadband you can get a frequent correction for your (ususlly inaccurate clock from: http://www.thinkman.*com/dimension4/ No adware with it either. Bob

Bob is right with his diagnoses, its the battery that is causing your problem but its not that difficult to change. If you would like to know where it is or how to do it let me know. Best wishes Debbi

Debbie, Collette's brother built the computer. It is possible that the battery is the problem. How do I change/instal a new one?
