Hi Lisa Southampton has the ships to offer. Queen Elizabeth and Q.M.2 in on Sunday. The Royal Victoria Country Park is a lovely place to visit. The New Forest is within easy reach. Good shopping centre - Winchester cathedral is worth a visit and not far. Marwell Zoo. Yes we have quite a lot to offer and not forgetting our beautiful parks in the city centre. Wherever you go. Fordingbridge in the New Forest is a beautiful place to go for a break, Beautiful scenery, animals roaming free, peace and quiet and some lovely pubs, and a river. Hubby and I have been to a lovely camping and caravan park there which is called Sandy Balls!!!! Can't wait to go back.

Hi Lisa, Best weekend away for me has to be the Isle of Wight, it's the most beautiful place I have ever been, with 100's of places to visit like, Godshill, Black Gang Chine, Shanklin Chine, and Robin Hill, just to name a few and a pretty village around every corner. Try it and see. Belle.

either Bath or Stratford upon Avon. Both full of historical sites, interesting nooks and crannies, good resteraunts, bars and good shops!!

Thanks for that, my home town is Aberystwyth, great for old and young,. Great walk along prom, castle grounds, golf, beach, and even a cliff tram, pubs not bad either. Much more to add but I would be here all day. Lisa

hi lisa why not try weymouth. we keep our touring caravan down there,it saves towing it back and forth,and we can go whenever we want there is so much to do and see and the beach is so clean and tidy...lol other than that ,you could always visit high wycombe in beautiful beechy bucks lmao susie

Hi Lisa I will be the first one to "big up" my home town, which is Tunbridge Wells, Tunbridge Wells's full name is Royal Tunbridge Wells as royalty used to stay here years and years ago. Twells is in "The Garden of England" ie Kent. Tun Wells also has a good shoping centre, its close to London and to the South Coast - Hastings, Brighton etc if you fancy a walk along the prom, and also its not too far to Dover if you fancy a trip over to France for a booze cruise. Think thats my tourism bit done :-) Another suggestion is to visit any countys/towns/villages where your rellies came from. Whereever you go, have fun Karen

When we can get away for a few days (not very often) i.e. like this Bank Holiday any suggestions on a few places to go. Come on brag about your hometown? Lisa
