Dear All Just to let you know, there have also been 'scam' emails to Ebay users recently, and a friend of mine had her PayPal account broken into. Luckily Ebay sorted it.

Hello Margaret Yes I have received quite a few of these so called bank security checkups from Barclays/Halifax/Abbey and Nat West. They ask you to confirm your pin numbers and accounts - I'm sitting there thinking "I do not have an account with whoever" and "I don't ever remember giving my bank my email. Yes this is a hoax, but unfortunately there have been quite a few people that have submitted this information, and found monies being extracted from their accounts. I usually just type in large print "get lost" and press reply. No bank will ever ask for this kind of information via email. Lin

Be on your gaurd there are a few emails going around from Banks and building societys they look very real asking for details i had one this morning so i made a phone call to a very well known Building Society and was told DONT DO ANYTHING with it Delete it get rid of it
