when you are angry either count to ten or fifty, or talk about the cause and get it of your chest.it works for me. sarah

Go for a very long walk and you will feel calmer at the end of it. Viv.

We have a book in the office called the Little Book of Calm. Each page has a little tip on it for keeping (or regaining) your cool. It is worth its weight in gold. Don't have it to hand, but I do remember one for you: Pretend it's Saturday. Rick :-)

Last time I was angry fit to burst I went upstairs and ripped up a pillow case. Made a terrible mess but definitely felt better after half an hour of growling and ripping. Thing is I now have one dark blue pillow case without a partner ...

Fiona Sorry to hear about your problem. Something I have done when really angry with a particular person is sit at the computer and write a really nasty angry letter, being as horrid as you can and getting everything off your chest. Then instead of posting it, either print it off and let someone sympathetic read it, or email it to a friend who you can warn in advance. I did this quite recently and it honestly did help a lot. Hope it all seems better in the morning. Mandy x

Go and weed the garden - if you have one and pretend that every time you dig the trowel in that it is the person or thing that you are angry with - my ex-hubby used to say that it did me good - I always used to come in calmer ( I always used to take to the garden if i was angry or upset - those poor weeds took all the flack) - maybe because i was tired after gardening that I'd forgotten what i was angry about in the first place or maybe because i was too tired to be angry any more. It worked for me - best of luck Tracy

Fiona You could quite easily rupture a blood vessel in your head - that is have a stroke, (something that always happens to other people) if you get that angry, especially if you are my age. Want to try a self-hypnotic audio tape ? If interested contact me direct. There will be no cost as I will copy from a master tape onto a spare cassette of which I have plenty. Len

Fiona, my suggestion to you, is to go to my Song Thread, and sing along with me, or I can find your favorite Music/Lyrics. Bill

Hi Fi' I can appreciate your anger,,,i have been there with an ex-wife problem myself. Mine involved the CSA,It left us feeling helpless to do anything,,,,for a while i hated the ex with a vengence. We overcome in the end. You need to talk to family and friends a lot,,talking and empathy help you get through,
