How many of your mother's habits have you taken over? We always had fish on Friday, and I too have this. I could not think of having meat on a Friday - no religious reason at all. You know what I'm eating today - yes, of course, fish.

My Mum used to twist her toffee papers into a roll and then tie a knot in them before throwing them away. On the odd occasion I have one I do the same Julia

But Terry all men swear, but few women. I always say that there are so many other words in the dictionary, why do you have to swear. No, as you guessed, I don't swear, don't find the need to. My son is like you too, with regards to untidiness. Can't live with him. I was always tidying up his room, picking up his clothes from the floor. Just don't know where he picked up these habits from, certainly not from me, nor my husband, who is even more tidy than I am, true. Anyway, my son is now on his own which suits the two of us. he is 48!!
