All of the "Now that's what I call music" albums! I'll think of some serious ones now!!

Natalie- I just think things went downhill after Mushroom left. He didn't like the guitars on Mezzanine & I think he has a point. Teardrop is a great song though. Also think the Tricky collaboration really made the earlier material too. Protection was nearly as good as Blue Lines. Can't stand 100th Window ! There are some exceptions, but debut/second albums are often the best ! Rick.

Jeanette, The most well known song off Low is Sound and Vision. Other tracks include Always Crashing In The Same Car, Be My Wife. It's one of three albums he did in collaboration with well known producer Brian Eno. Natalie, I'm not sure why I prefer Blue Lines over the others, it's not down to any one song although I acknowledge that Unfinished Sympathy and Safe From Harm are great tracks. I can only put it down to the overall sound and feel of the album. Protection is interesting, bit of a mixed bag. Mezzanine is good and I do like it but find it a hard album to love; standout track for me is Black Milk. Oddly enough haven't got round to checking out 100th Window so can't comment on it.

LisaL

LisaL Report 13 May 2004 23:52

MMMMM beans!! What do you think about Tommy?

Andy

Andy Report 14 May 2004 00:00

It's a bold album, think the first half is stronger than the second half. Some of the musical ideas from Sell Out are used again on Tommy, most notably on the 10min 'Underture' and 'It's A Boy'. Am slowing adding to my collection of The Who albums, Who's Next is my favourite.
