Morning Claire, have you a Focus in Alford? ,cause i was in one of their stores a few days ago and they had a good selection of colours. I ask because Skeggie is a bit of a long way to go although you would for sure find one there,.Other than that paint it yourself ,but give it plenty of time to dry lol.Denis.

It might be a good idea to paint it,,,do you hink it would wear off though after a while,,,lol,,,(thinking of those bottoms.)..do you think i should varnish it?

If youve decided on varnish you can go to the nearest diy and buy one ,it would save a possible [sticky] situation.Denis.

Just use a good gloss paint. Varnish will show all the water marks.

Hi Claire My hubby and I pine panelled our bathroom, and then stained it mahogany. We bought a pine loo seat and did that as well, I gave it a couple of coats of varnish and it still looks fine. You will have to be careful that no one puts the lid down (not even hubby!!!) until it is well dry. Lynda
