I can't think of one personally but I can of my brother. He and his best friend had taken up jogging and they were explaining to me and my friend the way they run. My brother's line was "personally I run on my balls" as you can imagine I rolled up in fits of laughter, tears streaming down my face. He was blushing profusely and meant the balls of his feet. Even now a good 10 years later I wont let him live it down and it still makes me laugh. |

Elaine, I'm sure the person who said that to you meant it in the jest of these letters - funny. If somebody said it to me I would just laugh. But I don't take life too seriously either. Life is far too short. Greetings |

Once as I was leaving work I locked my handbag in my office at work, and had no money to get home! I phoned my Hubby who worked fairly near, he couldn't leave work himself, but a colleague of his offered to pick me up, bring a spare set of door keys and drive me home. I told him I'd wait near the crossing outside the Hospital where I work. One problem, I hadn't a clue what he looked like or what sort of car to look out for. I took a guess about 10 minutes later as a car slowed down and made to open the door. This chap driving look petrified and grabbed the handle inside, he obviously thought I was deranged. My lift arrived about 5 mins later!!!!! Lynda |

My husband and I were visiting London with friends and were sitting in a pub in London. One of the bar tenders (female) came up to me and said "get out". I was astonished and couldn't say a word. She repeated "I've told you before not to come in here again". I really felt terrible with these friends with me. I tried to tell the bar tender that this was the first time I had set in "her" pub and that she was mistaken, but to no avail. From that day on I realise that I must have a double somewhere in London - maybe a loose woman too, what a thought!! |
