Sue Kielder is at the top of Northumberland, close to the Scottish Border and Hadrian's Wall. Kielder Water is the largest man-made lake in Europe! There is also Kielder Forest, one of Britain's biggest nature resorts.

Just spoke to ex hubby about it, maybe it wasn't Keilder dam we saw! whatever one we saw was impressive! I do remember the forest, a mass of regimental conifer trees! Maggie, suffering from memory loss!

was up there yesterday, it,s one of the wife and my fav picnic sites ,we nearly always park the car by the fishing hut and walk along the side of the dam to the tables.It takes a while though because neither of us are clever on the feet at the moment.Uor other place is the moors near Stanhope ,it depends what sort of mood we are in at the time.
