my fella doesn't know one end of a hammer from the other! so i do all my own DIY from painting to drilling, wallpapering to tiling. put in a complete kitchen with a little help from my son (to do the heavy work) that way i know it will get done finished no offence to any fellas out there. penny

Judith in Wales. No, I don,t think that. I once asked for, and got, a 10 inch mitre saw for my birthday. These days though, I want to be pampered. ( Fat chance! ). Leslie. Keep up the good work. I would have done the same thing.

I have to side with your wife on this one. Now if you were designing a nice garden swing (the sort you can relax on) or a nice hot-tub, that,s o.k. But a kitchen! That,s like giving her a hoover for her birthday. Lol.

Been planning a new kitchen so spent hours doing design on the computer with units from one store (Wickes) when finished she didn’t like the handles! I did it all again with B&Q units (cause you can have a better choice of handles) Three hours later I show her the new design and guess what , “the handles on the other one were okay” she says. No wonder us men are grumpy. Bob
