No Sunday roast for us. I don't like cleaning ovens. The Dutch cook everything on the stove and tastes good, so who am I to break their tradition! Joking apart, I do like a roast beef and yorkshire pudding dinner, and do have it occasionally. It is difficult to get exactly the same cut of meat as in Gt Britain though.

only seem to do a roast if all the family are round, these days! But when I do a roast, I do the lot, Roast beef , Yorkshire, roast & mash spuds, loads of seasonal veg, and at least two desserts!! Yum, must phone the family to arrange a date!! Steph :-)

My favourite is a slight variation of a Sunday roast. Roast lamb with rosemary and garlic and mixed roast veg (potatoes, carrots, turnips, onions, swede, butternut squash and sweet potato) plus apple and pear. Delicious!! My grandchildren (7, 10 & 14) will not eat Sunday roast - they absolutely adore curry and chilli though. Lynne in Sale

Being a Yorkshireman my hubby used to love his sunday roast, esp beef and all the trimmings. Since he died last year and though I still do it, it doesn't have the same appeal and I do feel a bit pathetic sitting down on my own to a roast. Lynda

Hubby and I went to a carvery for Sundary Roast today. Lovely but not the same as Mum used to make. I do cook one now and then but I look forward to going to M-I-L's. Eight adults and 2 children under five can get a bit noisy though!

Finished eating home cooked Sunday lunch of Roast Beef, Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Potatos, Roast Parsnips, Mixed Vegetables, Horseradish Sauce and Gravy. No pudding as we all feel very full up now. The rest of the family are now asleep whilst I load the dishwasher! Viv

We have roast virtually every sunday - even in the summer. Or we may go to the Carvery. Never have a roast dinner in the week though cos that would stop it being 'special'! Lamb today my fave! Maz. XX
