Do you remember the old music halls, where they used to shout out things from the balconies. Oh, those were the days. George Formby, Two-ton Tessie O'Shea, Winifred Attwell, how many more of these can you remember?

Loved them - and remember them too! Makes me feel anicient. There is a 'Ghost Town' at Barkerville in British Columbia where they still have a music hall just like the old days. Barkerville has been resurrected as a tourist place with all the old buildings and features and is absolutely authentic with the original old church and 'boot hill'. If anyone from Jersey reads this I have a photo of a grave marker of a 19 year old Jersey boy who is buried there. Must check what his name was! Does anywhere still have the old 'Pantomimes' at Christmas like they used to have at the Stockport Hippodrome? Was always a must for us as kids! The Dame was always a man and the Prince always a girl. Guess today's kids will be too sophisticated.

Some rellies of ours did music hall acts - Chrissie and Alfie Scott Banner and Jennie Tate - performed at Morcombe and Bradford probably elsewhere as well, in the 30s - 50s. Black and White minstrel stuff as well as pantomimes. I have photos of the 2 ladies as principal boys. lol Dave
