do you think that tony blair has been the best prime minister the country has ever had?could he do more for the country and what?who do you think was the best prime minister and the worst prime minister of all time.

I'm not into politics, but I certainly wouldnt be able to do his job. I'd upset too many people. Best/Worst = All of them half keep some people happy, the other half of the population hate them ! Elaine x :o))

i don,t know if he can be classed as the worst prime minister ,but i do think he has been one of the best for digging holes for his policies to fall down at a later date ,from law and order ,to the refugee crisis.,and from home rule to the european union.

I think John Smith would have made a good prime minister, but he unfortunately died too young. Buried in Scotland somewhere. A prime minister can of course never please all the people. We all have our own ideas on what should and should not be done, that is human nature. I don't think, however, that Tony is doing very well.

John Smith is buried on Iona - saw his grave on my honeymoon! It's strange that you mentioned him, as tomorrow it will be ten years since he died at the age of 55.

Right on, Max (you sound mad, Max - tee hee!). Yes, TB is one of the worst PMs this country has ever had to suffer. He has reneged on almost all his promises; the debacle of foot and mouth shows how good he is in a crisis; and he has taken this country into an illegal war, against the wishes of almost ALL the population, merely because he saw what war did for Churchill and Thatcher, and he wants a bit of that for himself. To feed his megalomania, he has forced this country - for the first time in history - to militarily invade a country that is posing no threat to us or any of our allies. Within hours of the start of the conflict, the "threat" of WMDs suddenly became "liberating Iraq," whether or not the people of Iraq wanted it. When Labour took office, PFIs were an idea where private companies were required to be accountable for their contracts, which is why they didn't take off - TB removed that responsibilty (and risk), and just gave industry carte blanche to make vast sums of money from the taxpayer (it must be understood that governments DO NOT have money - all the money the government has comes from us, the taxpayers!). For seven years, now, we have had nothing but lies and obfuscation from this government. ANYTHING has to be better! Rob

I think perhaps that Tony Blair will be the worst one till the next one. The way we perceive our politicians and the way the media treat them has changed immensely in the last 20 years.
