Yes Lou i had noticed that on the 1901 census one of his children was Henry J Bishop they just love trying to confuse us

Margaret - I have been having the same problem!! For my relatives I think its because his grandfather had the same name so to avoid confusion used his middle name!! Lou

Have just got my grandfathers birth certificate born 1902 mothers name Elizabeth fathers name Henry James Bishop occupation Hosiers Manager ,on the 1901 census Henry James is now James H Bishop Outfitter and Hosiery assistant ,Mother Elizabeth address the same as what is on my grandfathers birth certificate Would any of you think that this is the same person just because he did not like the name Henry i am pulling hair out of head now why did they have to use different christian name Advice PLEASE
