My favorite is horses, and i also used to do a lot of riding in bucks ,many years ago,i doubt if i could even get up on one now ,for an old,un it,s such a long way to the ground ,perched on a sixteen hands steed.my least favorite is my sisters geese. She has a smallholding in lincs and has a dozen ,which she keeps instead of guard dogs. the ruddy things have a go at me every time i go in the gate,a proper vendetta i think, and i can assure you the feeling is mutual. It,s not just me ,the postie whistles at the gate throws the post over the gate and dives back into the van for a quick gettaway.Fred.

Joan Same as Sue I love all animals, but I have special admiration for the elephants, how close a family they are. The way they all worry about and look after each other in times of danger and how gently they look out for the calves for each other.

I am a dog-lover and I like this little snippet from an Edgar Allan Poe story: 'To those who have cherished an affection for a faithful and sagacious dog, I need hardly be at the trouble of explaining the nature or the intensity of the gratification thus derivable. There is something in the unselfish and self-sacrificing love of a brute, which goes directly to the heart of him who has had frequent occasion to test the paltry friendship and gossamer fidelity of mere MAN.' (well, some men anyway, lol!)

What is your favourite animal and Why? I just love horses because they appear to be such mystical creatures. I hav'nt ridden one for 40 years and I don't own one either. When I win the Lottery I shall have one then.
