A lovely thought, Sandra, and thanks for sharing it with us. Although I was born just after the war, and none of my immediate rellies were killed or wounded, I've always felt deeply about the human sacrifice made in two world wars and many other actions since. When I drive abroad on holiday (not so often now, I'm afraid, with air flights so readily available), I always try to visit at least one of our war cemeteries. It still brings tears to the eyes to see the ages and read the grave inscriptions of the missing generations. God bless you, Philip

this is a lovely idea, i noticed it in The Sun today,im 39 but support all our forces and think how many of the ones who slate them would do their job, people forget its not just about war. i sold yellow ribbons at the start of iraq, to raise funds for ssafa, and was suprised at the amount of people who told me they wouldnt sell them for me, in their work place ,because it was supporting war, they couldnt see it was supporting the forces and not the fighting. i will have a look on the legion website .
