I've got to admit i am looking forward to christmas this year - we will have a new baby in the family - due any day now. I have some new friends also so I hope this year will go with a bang instead of being on our own - as my children spend the afternoon together with their dad (We split 9 yrs ago) Oh well life goes on. love Tracy

Hi Tracy Last week I got my first few Christmas presents. I had a browse in some lovely gift shops while I was on holiday and got some things that I'm really pleased with. I also make some of my Christmas cards, so I've also just bought the bits and pieces to make a start. I like to be organised, I'd go mad if I had to squeeze everything in to the last few weeks (or days even!). Still enjoying the summer though ...!! Mandy :)

Sorry to all of you who have not finished you "summer hols" but the reality of this thread and Christmas is starting to set in. The plantations for the trees are now being viewed and Christmas trees will be on sale within only 8 weeks. My daughter has already made out her list to father christmas and I think this will be her last year of believing in good old Santa. Oh well that was fun whilst it lasted. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!!!!!!!!

Have made a start, last week went to Strood for the archives centre. Didn't get very far so walked over the bridge into Rochester and found some lovely little shops with some very different ideas. Just got to remember where I've tucked them!!!! Julie

Our Sales team have started contacting all the garden centres, fruit shops, nurseries etc about buying their trees - so if you buy a real tree ask if it came from yorkshire christmas trees and that's the company I work for. As for summer - It is supposed to start in september - it is St Swithens day today and supposedly if it rains today it is supposed to rain for 40 days and 40 nights soz folks !!!!!! Typical english weather.

I have bought a few pressies as to get 30+ out of money in the last couple of months before Christmas is a bit difficult. I always look around and when I buy it is for a specific person. My last buy was a bargain - a book priced at 26.99 reduced to 1.99!! I also have my Christmas plans for work completed (Pre-school). Jacky :-) PS For Sue Hare.... when is summer arriving??

I Love Christmas, would really love to come back to ENGLAND for a Christmas if it snowed it does seem more like Christmas in UK. We have a good Christmas here (in the heat), still have the hot dinner but with the tree etc you dont really get the proper effect as it is light here, so we decorate the garden with lights as we spend alot of time outside plus alot of barbies normally we are in bathers Christmas day. I normally spend about $50 on postage for my over/sea cards. Rita (Western Australia)

We had the notice put up on the staff board today telling us that the night that we put "Christmas shop" into the store is the 9th of October, so that means that as of 12 weeks on Sunday you can buy Christmas gifts and Decorations from B.H.S. LOL, The stock will start coming into the store in about 3 weeks time.
