don't give up just leave it for a little while and try again,i've been trying to do my family history for 24 years now and have just got over five generations on my dads side and only three generations on moms side, i've the problem not got much money to spend on certicates etc but i'll carry on till i leave this earth, we're going down to norton in suffolk next month with my son hopefully we will get futher on but never give up, just have little breaks ttfn,mary.

Don't let it get you down. I was in a doldrum for months then out of the blue someone contacted me with a piece of info that sparked off another lead and things took off again. I'm having another quiet period now but I know it won't last. I'm using the time until I get inspiration to get my notes and papers in order, and reread old jottings and look again at census entries/certificates I have not picked up for months. Sometimes something will jump out at you if you look again at information you already have. Or else fire off as many emails/message board entries in as many places as you can think of and see if you get any replies. It has worked for me. Angela

I seem to have ground to a halt in all lines and I have only got back about 4 generations and not found any live relis. Aw well better have a break and catch up on the housework for a couple of days!!! well at least the gardening. ( I must be depressed to even contemplate housework!!)
