John, I live near Clark's Village in Street, Somerset, but that's no help whatsoever to you in Yorkshire .... sorry! Have you tried looking for a website or email address? Or asked your local store to order a particularl size for you? My son has always had big but narrow feet and I know they sometimes ordered a size in for him. Good luck!

Years ago when my children had clarks shoes, my eldest son was a g fitting, whenever I went into a clarks shop they never had g fitting in boys shoes only girls, I lost count at the number of times they offered me girls shoes needless to say I declined, I used to get so cross, they advertise g fitting and had the cheek to try and sell me girls shoes, it still makes me mad when I think of it today. Have you tried Startrite Shoeshops, my daughter also had very dainty slim fit feet when she was younger and I found that the shoes sold there was identical to Clarkes shoes, I think they have a website. Good luck........

Hi John Perhaps you should take a trip over to this part of Yorkshire. They always seem to have a good choice in the slimmer fittings, but my daughter who is a G fitting usually only has 1 option. Jeanette

i think i will have to order them but clarks are not the same as they were now i think its a no care attitude, bhs used to have a startrite in there store but they told me they had gone under, the problem is getting the shoes when you need them, you know how childrens feet grow and if you go and order them and they say 28days maybe, iam back to square one. but thankyou for helping, john.

Hi John I actually work for Clarks (fitting kids shoes) and it is such a shame you cannot get any to fit. Have you tried ordering them through your local store? Every store recieves what is called a pattern book this will tell you (and show you) what styles Clarks make in an E fit. I can understand not every store has every shoe in stock which is why they have an order service instore. The stock for E fits is much better now and they do a good range of hardwearing, fashionable shoes. If you have no joy with your local store I have customer services number if you need it and they are always there to help (I have never had a problem with them) There is also the web site www(.clarks(.)co(.)uk and if it helps the larger stores are getting the new A/W stock in which even now are selling very well with a good range of E fits. Good luck im sure you will find something e-mail if you need CS number Jan x

Have you tried the Freeport Retail Village at Castleford? They have a Clarks & a Start-Rite shop there so you may get lucky. It may be worth giving them a call re. availability rather than trekking over there - Clarks (01977 552368) & Start-Rite (01977 555064).
