Kylie, I'm nearly 37 and my mum still goes to hold my hand if we are crossing a road together. She says it's habit!! I always say to her , 'if I fall, I take you with me!!' Hope your pride and the bruises are healing ;-))) Steph x

Hi All, A while ago I was walking one of my dogs to meet my daughter from school. He was trotting along sniffing the hedges (as they do!), when he suddenly spotted something really interesting on the grass verge on the other side of the pavement. He shot over straight in front of me, sending me flying over his back! I landed face first, knees and right hand second. A woman coming the opposite way asked if I was ok, of course I said yes, even though I had blood dripping from my split chin! And to top it all, it turned out I had actually fractured my little finger as well. Needless to say, it is now hubbies job to walk the dog!! Rebecca

We live near the local barracks, and a year or so ago us members of the PTA were going to a meeting at a house in the barracks. I trotted up to the gate house to get a pass for the car in my new shoes, feeling very proud of them!!! We'd just had a shower and so the soles of my shoes slipped on the wet pavement. Down I went like a sack of spuds in front of the soldiers!!! They all came rushing to my aid, I was so embarrassed. When I got back to the car my friend Cheryl had mascara running down her face where she had laughed so much. And to cap it all I had really hurt my knees, but everyone at the house thought it hilarious. Totally sympathise with you Kylie, sore knees are the pits. Julie

On 28/01 when we had that snow and ice in England I was walking gingerly to the local Asda fairly late at night. Crossing a main road somehow my two feet went from under me. I ended up flat on my back. Some lads nearby shouted, "Are you all right mate?" Of course I answered yes, even though I wasn't! Luckily there was no traffic about.

Back in January, I was going to Croydon shopping. I went to get on the train at Streatham Hill, managed to get 1 legin the train, the other one, I don't think I lifted qujite high enough. I ended up sprawled face down in the trains carriage. It's so embarrasing. And when people ask if you are ok - why do we always answer yes? Liz
