From Jo - Finding replies to threads, message #884510 Thankyou Brenda in Cyprus, Mandy in Somerset (twice) Pen in Norfolk, and Ann in Glocester for your replies. Together they have made things a lot easier for me. From Jo in Canada

Hi If you put the relevant subject into 'search' at the top of the message board it will find the thread for you. all you need to do is make a note of the thread title when you add to it. Or as someone else said, clicking on 'your replies' at the top of the message board will bring up every thread you replied to. On the particular thread you are interested in then click on 'other replies' and it brings up the whole thread. it is slow to load so you need to be patient. Hope this helps Ann Glos

Sorry Jo, I assumed you'd already used the 'search' facility without success!! And there was me giving you a long-winded reply LOL. Mandy :))

Jo, I use the 'view your threads' option at the top of each message board (its in green) it is slow to load but when it works its great, you can see all the messages that you have had an input into. you can then click on it if you want to add another comment, Penny

Hi Jo I slept late this morning so still fuzzy-brained and might well have completely got the wrong end of the stick LOL. I know it's a long-winded way of keeping track of the threads that interest you, but when you have the relevant thread on screen, if you look at the address bar at the top of the page (the one that starts http://www etc) there is a number at the far right hand side. This is the thread number and you can overtype another number with this one to bring up the one you want. I keep a note in my little GC notebook beside the pc!! Apologies if this isn't what you wanted to know, but good luck anyway! Mandy :))

Hi all at Genes Connected Could someone please tell me how to keep track of other peoples' answers to my requests on the different boards? I have been having a terrible time getting lost. I ask a question, then can't even find the thread that offers the help, let alone the response somebody sends me. I know I can find my requests and messages, but if someone's response to me is buried in the middle of nudges and new posts to a particular thread, is there an easy way that I can find it? Thanks, from somone else who doesn't want any 'reunions' with my genes. Jo
