I am trying to trace someone who was born in 1957, I have got the town and the date, Is there any way to find out if this is correct and what address they lived at?

You could try the local electoral register for the place but it is by address rather than name. I'm not sure about everywhere but I know that for where I live the local reference library have copies of street directories. There is a list of streets and who lived in the house (Head of house) and also an alphabetical list of names of head of houses. Failing that I can only think of you sending for the birth certificate. That would give the address. Jane

th birth certificate will USUALLY give the address, but not always, sometimes just the town...

Hi Margaret. If you want to send for the birth certificate and would like to give me the name d of b and town I will have a look on 1837 to see if I can find the reference for you. If you don't want to give it on here just send me an e-mail. Cheers - Chris
