My word Leytonstone is a popular place. Anyone else go to Leyton County High or the Technical College in Walthamstow? My parents and therefore me, did the opposite to you Maz, started in South Woodford and then moved to Leytonstone. Janet

Don't forget me!!! Born in Forest Gate, lived in Stratford until age 7. Then the family moved up-market (!) to South Woodford. When me and hubby got together we lived in Leytonstone and for the last 15 years we have been in Walthamstow. All my dad's side were from Poplar right back to the 1840's, so that is my claim to cockney-dom! Maz. XX
